On Sunday, the Army Band went to Keeneland Race Track for Military Appreciation Day. It was a really nice event. They played in a courtyard area for 15 minutes and then played while 1000 basic training soldiers from Fort Knox marched in. All the soldiers and a family member got food vouchers, so we ate for free! Speaking of eating, we had something called Kentucky Burgoo, it was a spicy beef stew, which was very interesting. I'll have to see about posting actual pictures of the band. (I have 2 other pictures to post, but blogger is being weird, so maybe later)

We were at the races
