Geocaching....

Geocaching is an outdoor treasure-hunting game in which the participants use a GPS receiver or other navigational techniques to hide and seek containers (called "geocaches" or "caches") anywhere in the world. A typical cache is a small waterproof container containing a logbook and "treasure", usually toys or trinkets of little value.

Andrew and I have been geocaching a few times with Andrew's family. It really is fun, it is like we are treasure hunting. So what you do is you put in the geographic coordinates into your GPS device and then you get as close as you can in your vehicle and then you get out and walk the rest of the way. They are always in public places like parks and hiking trails. Also there are clues that help you to find the exact place where the container is. When you find the container it is typically a food storage container, a coffee can, or most recently it was a powder gatorade container. Inside there is a log book that you put your name, the date/time, and what item you are leaving and taking with you. Then you put it back where you found it so that the next person can find it. Also you go online to geocaching.com and sign in and say that you visited that particular cache and you can leave comments and such.
