After Oklahoma we went to Tucumcari, New Mexico and we again stayed on Route 66. The hotel we stayed in there was definitely the worst of the 6 we stayed in, but we managed. Then we were off to Flagstaff, Arizona, the views we saw were amazing and I did take some pictures and will hopefully post some real soon. We got to see tumbleweeds and that was so great, we even took a picture with one. We were so amazed by them, Andrew had fun hitting them with the truck. On our way through California we saw lots of fruit trees and vineyards and we stopped at a fruit stand and got some fruit, which was really good. We stopped at In-N-Out Burger and had some recommended hamburgers. Once we got to Oregon the rain hit us and we had rain off and on for the last leg of our trip, but it was to be expected.
In Mount Shasta, CA we stayed at a super cute inn that had free snacks in the lobby and even had popcorn in the room, those that know me well, know I'm a huge popcorn lover, so that alone made me love the place. But it also had nice towel you would have in your home and nice sheets, we were also provided with a variety of teas, hot chocolate, coffee. So that definitely was the nicest place we stayed the whole trip and we loved it. I think it was called the Cold Creek Inn.
On Sunday when we got to Washington we went and looked at the house we had been eyeing on the internet for a couple of weeks, but we also kept our search going on the internet to find the perfect house. After driving by 15 houses and through a huge, cute neighborhood we finally found a house that we put an application on yesterday, we should know something soon. It has a great view of the Puget Sound and its in the center of a cute small town.We will keep you updated on the house...... :)
